Sometimes in life you begin to wonder about many things: some that you can control and some that are just curiosity. Have you ever wondered why people enter your life at certain times? Usually you come in contact with people as answers to prayers or as solutions to problems. Why is it that when it seems that you are at the end of your rope, something good always happens to you? Why does love feel good when it`s good and hurt so much when it`s gone? Why do you see signs instead of direct answers. In this life we are given one chance to either succeed or fail. Even though many of us experience what we believe to be small successes, we often sell ourselves short. In this day and time, living and surviving as an American is a success in itself. We fail when we don`t try or give it our best when we do. It is up to each and everyone of us to educate ourselves and not be bound by the chains of ignorance. My mother always said that an education is something that no one can ever take from you. As an Americans, it is imperative to the survival of our country to make sure we take time to educate ourselves and our young children. It is our duty to mentor to our youth and not allow the streets to raise our youth. Regardless of what you believe, it does take a village to raise a child. Therefore, how would you like your future? I do believe that there is a higher power who knows and controls all. It is a selfish person who believes that he or she is the master of his own destiny. Cadillac or Lexus with the fly rims will not take care of us. Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Sean John, Fubu, or any other designer will not help make us the person to look up to. It is time that we begin to put knowledge in our heads and not worry what objects we own. Therefore, it is important to be true to yourself and not let anyone keep you from achieving your dreams.
